How to Play Spanish 21 at Caesars, Harrah’s Resort, Showboat and Bally’s Atlantic City

So we’ve pretty much given you plenty of time to master the games of Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City blackjack and Single Deck Blackjack. Now it’s time for a new blackjack game, friends. This one is called Spanish 21. Spanish 21 is similar to regular blackjack, but this game has more options and therefore, more ways to win! Yay!

Spanish 21

Here is how Spanish 21 differs:

  • Spanish 21 uses a deck of 52 cards BUT the 4 10′s in each deck are taken out
  • Players are allowed to double down one time only
  • If a player is dissatisfied with the outcome of his or her double down, the player is able to take back (rescue) the doubled portion of the bet and forfeit the original wager. This only applies to a non-busted hand.
  • Player can only surrender on the first two cards only
  • Drawing on split Aces is allowed
  • Dealer must hit to a soft 17
  • A player’s blackjack always beats a dealer’s blackjack
  • A player’s 21 always beats a dealer’s 21
  • Special payouts:  5-Card 21 pays 3 to 2; 6-Card 21 pays 2 to 1; 7+ Card 21 pays 3 to 1; 6-7-8 Mixed pays 3 to 2; 6-7-8 Suited pays 2-1; 6-7-8 Spaded pays 3 to 1; 7-7-7- Mixed pays 3-2; 7-7-7 Suited pays 2-1; 7-7-7 Spaded pays 3 to 1.

All these payouts make you want to try it, right? Go ahead at Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, Showboat Atlantic City and Bally’s Atlantic City casinos! Tell us what you think!

Wizard Of Oz Gamefield XD Video Slots Can Make You A Millionaire!

Ya’ll. The number of peeps in the millionaire club at Caesars Entertainment has increased to 411! That’s a lot of millionaires and more are being made every week it seems. We’re not even going to ask the question if you want to be one, cause we already know the answer, so we’re going to give you an option of how you can become one at Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, Showboat Atlantic City or Bally’s Atlantic City. Meet The Wizard Of Oz Gamefield XD by WMS Gaming.

Wizard Of Oz Gamefield XD

Dual screens! 32 inches each! Just like the iconic movie, this video slot encompasses both good and evil. On one side you have Emerald City full of Glenda The Good Witch Bonuses! These bonuses can pop up on any base game spin and can change symbols to WILD and/or can increase the number of symbols per reel (which could increase the number of WILDs per reel!). ANDDDD regardless, the number of symbols added per reel is a good thing because each one increases the number of Any Way paylines. Which is always a good thing. This whole shebang also occurs every time on the Free Spin Bonus. Not bad, huh? That’s a whole lot of bonuses at once.

Then you have the Emerald City Bonus.

Wizard Of Oz 1

The object here is to get these symbols as high as you can. You must pick an OZ symbol to advance up the screen or give you more credits. The higher up you go though, the better the award credits!

Then over on the evil side of things, The Haunted Forest, (but not really cause you still get bonuses), The Winged Monkey Bonus can too, be triggered on any base game spin. The Winged Monkeys takeover the screen and add WILD symbols to certain reel sets. This bonus can also be triggered on each Free Spin bonus with more WILDs added after each spin!

Wizard Of Oz 2

And the Hunted Forest Bonus round mimics the Emerald City bonus on the darker screen.

Fun, right?! And perhaps even more fun, you can become a millionaire on this game! Entertainment and the potential to become a millionaire, what’s not to like?! Tryout the Wizard Of Oz Gamefield XD at Harrah’s Resort, Caesars, Showboat and Bally’s if you haven’t already. You could be next! Check out our Millionaire Maker by Total Rewards page to find out how else you can be part of the club!

An Inside Look At The New SPIDER-MAN Video Slot Coming Soon To Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City Properties

This doesn’t happen often, but we have no words. Take a look at the new dual-array Spider-Man video slot game coming soon to Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, Showboat Atlantic City and Bally’s Atlantic City.

Is this not amazing looking? The game is complete with six “Spider Sense Features”: Pumpkin Bomb (all pumpkin symbols are turned into WILD symbols), Peter Parker WILD (all Peter Parker symbols are turned into WILD symbols), Super Multiplier (The choice is yours here: Spin the wheel to receive multipliers up to 30x or try your luck at the Goblin Battle Bonus that we will discuss in a bit), Super Scatter (Peter Parker, Mary Jane OR Green Goblin symbols will pay scatter) or WILD Transfer (WILD symbols on the first array will go to the second and vice versa).

And of course the bonus battle = The Goblin Battle. If the Green Goblin flies onto the screen and throws a pumpkin bomb, it’s on! If a bomb strikes the Green Goblin, Spider-Man gets a point and the same goes for the opposite scenario. If Spider-Man racks up the most points, you get two times your bonus win!

And all of this comes to life so much more as you soar along the journey in the Sensory Immersion 2.0 chair!

The game is slated to hit Harrah’s Resort next week and Caesars, Showboat and Bally’s the following week.  We caught up with game producer Steve Slotwinski (we know, the last name couldn’t be any more perfect) from WMS Gaming to get some “behind the scenes” info. It’s safe to say that Steve pretty much knows all three Spider-Man movies by heart. He admitted to us that he is now able to watch the trilogy in a 40 minute span. That takes skill, people! Check out the rest, below.

Spider-Man video slot

TAC: What was your favorite part of the process while creating this game?

Steve Slotwinski: For this one, we have a new product. We have a sensory immersion 2.0 chair that we used for the Spider-Man game. It’s a motion chair. Probably the best time making this game was finding clips that used the most motion and working to make that chair move the way that we wanted it to for those clips. A lot of our time was reviewing the movies; trying to find as many clips of Spider-Man doing some type of action: fighting or swinging or jumping from building to building and trying to incorporate that into a movement into a chair to literally make this game as action packed as possible. So we went through this entire process and found the clips that we wanted and we started adding motion to this chair through those clips. At first, we were throwing people out of the chair. I thought it was great, but we eventually had to tone it down from there. I set my bar high. I wanted to find that high point. It’s an action movie so you should have some action when you play this game. Nothing’s better than playing the game and having that interactive part with the player to completely immerse them into the game.

TAC: And after the research was finished, what were the steps of bringing it all together & bringing this game to fruition?

Steve Slotwinski: It’s pretty close to making a movie. We go through multiple story board options of what we want to happen; essentially story boarding base games and all of the bonus games and features. And when we have a good idea of what we want to do, we throw some math behind it to see what’s actually feasible and if it will actually be a fun game. Then from there, we take those story boards and give them to the artists. All of our artists are incredibly talented people and highly educated, and they make the game how they think it would look the best. We let them run with it for a little bit and from there we just build until we have something that is absolutely fantastic. That’s probably the most condensed version of what we do from start to finish.

TAC: How did you bring the popular characters from the movie into the game?

Steve Slotwinski: We have Toby Maguire, we have James Franco, Kirsten Dunst and William Dafoe. We wanted to incorporate the characters as much as possible. We tried to take whatever we could from the video clips. We took the clips that showcased them the best and threw them into the game and tried to find other bonuses or other types of wins or anything we could that accentuates them. It’s those types of little details that we try to bring into each game to make you feel like you’re actually playing Spider-Man. We don’t want everything to revolve around one character; we want it to revolve around the movie.

TAC: What about this game do you think will resonate with the players at Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City properties?

Steve Slotwinski: It’s gonna be a fun game to play. We’ve had people come here and test out the game and people who have played it before it’s gone to casino and they all sat down, they played a few games and got to a bonus round and got up and said that they didn’t even feel like they were playing a slot machine. They had so much fun playing it that it was almost like a completely different experience as opposed to a regular gambling experience. They were incredibly entertained and they loved that. They were willing to put more money in just to get to the other bonuses so that they could ride the ride and have fun with Spider-Man. That was probably one of the best pieces of feedback that we received so far. It opens up all these new doors. We’re not just making a slot machine anymore or a gaming device. Now we’re making a huge piece of entertainment that people love to play just because it’s that entertaining. I’m hoping to see lines of people waiting to play this game!

TAC: How was producing this game different than most of the other games you’ve worked on (like Wizard Of Oz: Journey To Oz, Price Is Right Plinko Jackpots and Colossal Reels Zodiac Sisters & Tritan’s Gold)?

Steve Slotwinski: This was my first time working with the sensory chair and it’s actually our second game using that chair. This is coming on the heels of Aladdin which was a beautiful ride. Having that license on this product literally allowed me to take that chair to the next level and use it as much as I possibly can.

There you have it, folks! Be on the look out for the Spider-Man video slot at Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City casinos soon! Be sure to check back and tell us what you think!

Ride ‘Em Cowboys At Jim Beam Wild West Bar at Bally’s Atlantic City

The Jim Beam Wild West Bar at Bally’s Atlantic City couldn’t have a name more fitting. And we’re not just talking about the “Great American Frontier” vibe projected throughout. Things get crazy in this bar!

Jim Beam Wild West Bar

Perhaps the $2 selected draft beers and shots and $3 bottles all day, every day have something to do with this. That’s right, 24-hour happy hour! Or maybe it’s just plain fun! One of the “crown jewels” of the Jim Beam Wild West Bar is undoubtedly the mechanical bull (the first mechanical bull of Atlantic City) that was installed last summer. Seems only right since the first mechanical bull ever used for entertainment purposes has roots traced back to New Jersey; Bertrand Island Amusement Park in Lake Hopatcong to be exact.

Anyway, check this thing out!

Could you master this? Now take a look at how one of our friends fared.

Not too bad! Supposedly it’s all in the legs, but this guy has some good arm action going on too.

Be sure to unleash your inner cowboy or inner cowgirl during your next trip to Bally’s and try it out yourself! By the way, each ride is only $5!

After you finish taking this bull by its invisible horns, you still have several options of fun left at the Jim Beam Wild West Bar, the most popular most likely being beer pong. Beer pong is huge in Atlantic City as AC has played host to many beer pong tournaments over the past couple years (one has of course taken place at the Jim Beam Wild West Bar), but this is the only spot where you will be able to play it for kicks and on a regular basis.

The Wild West Vixens aka….The Vixens… are another popular draw to this bar. Decorated in cowboy hats, frayed jean shorts, western style belts, half cut flannel tops and cowboy boots, these pretty ladies perform choreographed routines on top of the actual bar every Thursday between 8 p.m. and 12 a.m. as well as Fridays and Saturdays between 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Think Coyote Ugly. This is Jersey after all.

And starting in April, Jim Beam will be hosting Country Thursdays featuring local honky tonk bands such as the Brian Clayton Duo, AJ Jensen Duo, Joe Bachman Duo and Rachel Allyn Duo along with The Vixens. Your favorite DJs will also continue to drop some hot beats Friday and Saturday nights. April’s DJ schedule will feature DJ Prefer and DJ Cool Jon Sprang.

The Jim Beam Wild West Bar at Bally’s AC is just starting to warm up for summer! Where else can you get mechanical bull rides, snapshots in a photo booth, arcade games, beer pong, The Vixen dancers and awesome DJs for no cover charge and a casual dress code?! The Jim Beam Wild West Bar is located on the casino floor right off the boardwalk. You can’t miss it! The bull starts operating at 7 p.m. Don’t forget and join in on the fun!

Total AC Blog: Where Everybody Knows All The Info On The CHEERS Video Slot Game

Do you want to go where everybody knows your name? We have the perfect solution: Check out the Cheers slots at Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, Showboat Atlantic City and Bally’s Atlantic City!

Cheers

What it comes down to is that you want to spin that pretty looking wheel. That’s where all the magic happens. To do this, you need to land at least five WHEEL symbols in the base game or three WHEEL symbols on a free spin. The Lucky Round Bonus Wheel gives you the chance at mini-bonuses or up to 100x Cheers Credits.

And the mini-bonus rounds are:

CLIFF! If you win on Cliff’s first spin, you get a chance of a pick at 50x Cheers Credits. If you are playing Cliff on a Sam Re-Spin, you get a chance of a pick at 100x Cheers Credits.

NORM! Same deal as Sam. But the first spin gives you a chance of a pick at 10x Cheers Credits.

And of course the SAM RE-SPIN. You get the drift of that one by now.

Check out the action.

Sounds and looks fun, right?

For even more fun facts about the game, check out this interview we did with game producer Steven Rosen.

TAC: You are a game producer at WMS Gaming and kind of take the lead in working with game designers in creating some of your popular video slots. How would you describe your job for everyone out there?

Steven Rosen: I think as a producer, you’re mostly an enabler. Outside from managing people, we’re managing products as well. One of the things that we need to make sure we are doing here is schedule versus creativity; making sure that we make the best products possible and making sure that our people are getting everything they need to do that. Producing is sort of an all-encompassing job. Movie producers are different from video game producers versus slot producers. As a slot producer, I’m managing up to six to eight games at a time in various stages where if you are a video game producer, you are managing one game for two years. We are sort of in and out in six to eight months. That is sort of our process here.

TAC: How did you get into this profession?

Steven Rosen: When I left Indiana University in 2002, I wanted to be in film production. That was my dream job, so I moved out to California in 2002 and worked at a production company called Maverick Films, which is Madonna’s film company, for about two years. We made a couple of movies – Agent Cody Banks with Frankie Munez and Hilary Duff. I’m a Midwest guy and LA was just not for me, so I moved back here and went to work at Midway Games so I could stay in entertainment. I worked on different titles like NBA Ballers, Mortal Combat, and a couple of those games just helping out and learning my craft. I came here in 2006 and I’ve been here ever since, almost seven years.

TAC: What do you like most about your job?

Steven Rosen: Every day is different. We are dealing with so many different departments and I utilize so many different relationships on a daily basis. I think that’s probably the best part for me because we work with so many wonderful people here. The other great thing for me, staying in entertainment, is that I’m giving people an entertainment experience. Something that is taking their mind off of something whether it be for an hour, a half hour, ten minutes, it’s an entertainment experience.  I get to work on some amazing licenses we have here. Favorite movies like The Wizard Of Oz and Willy Wonka and then Cheers, I’ve watched for years. This wasn’t actually something I was really looking for, but I sort of fell into it and fell in love with it.

TAC: What was your involvement with this particular game, the Cheers video slot?

Steven Rosen: I was the producer on the game. One of the things in particular we knew was that we wanted to knew the characters, so we had that. We had to get all the music rights so we had to chase those down and make sure those came with the license, and the other thing that we do with a lot of our games is we use sound-alikes for narration. In this particular case, I thought that John Ratzenberger in particular, who is Cliff Clavin, had such a recognizable voice. In fact, he’s in every Pixar movie ever made; they utilize his voice in every picture. We approached him about it and he was really into it and we got a chance to spend some time with him while he was doing it. To me, he really legitimized the license for us. He was able to get into character so quickly and improvise things we didn’t even write for him in a script just because he knew the character so well. That was really the main focus of it. And then for this one in particular, we prototyped and we wanted to make sure we had not only the right moments, but we needed to make people laugh because that’s what they remember from the show. Utilizing those clips and those characters was something that we absolutely had to do. And for the actual production of it, we had to cut up clips and go through the 170 episodes of Cheers, so we made sure that we got good clips and showed people that kind of stuff, but also made sure we legitimized the license with John Ratzenberger.

TAC: How did the idea come about to create a video slot machine game based on this popular TV show?

Steven Rosen: We do a lot of license testing here. We’ve done other TV show licenses like Green Acres and Happy Days, so it was sort of the next natural step for us. We tested the license and it tested very favorably. We knew when we secured the license that we were going to go after talent which is a big part for us. We got that and got the theme song which everybody knows is “Where Everybody Knows Your Name”, no pun intended. And we approached CBS and we were able to get the license from them.

TAC: What kind of fun fact did you learn about Cheers through the whole process?

Steven Rosen: It wasn’t so much a learning process as it was spending an hour and a half with John Ratzenberger listening to him tell stories about the set and the show. He talked a lot about how it was such an amazing experience for him. We’ve done a lot of voice over work with different celebrities and this is one of the best ones for me because he was so into the character that it brought back so many great memories for him.

TAC: What about this game do you think will resonate with so many of our players?

Steven Rosen: We’ve given the player those moments with Woody Harrelson and his character, Carla sort of being a smart ass, Sam being a womanizer. We have these little clips from the show that really bring that back for him. And every time you play it, you get the instrumental and then when you get to the free spins, you get the entire song, because that song just resonates so much with people and puts them in a really feel good mood that makes me thinks people will really get into it.

TAC: What other popular games have you had a hand in bringing to life over your career?

Steven Rosen: I did the original Lord Of The Rings video product which was a great treat to work on. I worked on our Aladdin game which utilized our sensory 2.0 chair, a moving chair, so that was really neat to work on because it was sort of the first in that category. I also worked on The Godfather.

TAC: Love it! What kind of game would you love to be involved with someday that you haven’t had a hand in yet?

Steven Rosen: I’m working on one now and I can’t talk about it! It’s my favorite movie of all time. Since I’ve been here, it was the one license that I’ve wanted. I got to meet some of the cast. It’s an ‘80s classic, how about that? It will be out soon, we’re just finishing up. I got to live my dream by recreating this film into a slot machine and sort of give my own homage to it a little bit because I really had a hand in not only producing but the design as well. It’s one of those movies that 25 plus years later still really holds true.

Ah, a cliff hanger! We can’t wait to keep checking back to see what it will be! In the meantime, enjoy the Cheers video slot at Caesars, Harrah’s Resort, Showboat and Bally’s!
